Filling my slurpee cup
May. 31st, 2011 10:19 amI woke up this morning from a dream in which someone brought me a large slurpee cup that seemed full to overflowing---but when I took it, I realized that it was mostly froth. As the froth dissolved, I saw that there were only two little sips left at the bottom. I was really mad and sad about it, and I went back to the vendor to complain.
When I woke up, I felt really sad. But I quickly thought about what it meant: at first, it looked like my cup was running over, but when I looked closer, it was pretty dry.
Could this be an image for the "all work and little or no play" life that I tend to fall into?
Hmmmmm...
And who, exactly, holds that cup? Whose efforts fill the cup?
Why, that would be me.
If I am going to have more joy and more fun, I better get crackin'.
