I will investigate tickets today, including exploring elphaba's tantalizing no-timed ticket suggestion. I don't know if there are still openings but we'll try.
This way, we could get in on Saturday and those who want to stay could stay over till Sunday.
I'll keep you posted.
Elphaba, can you forward me that email and/or call my cell phone this morning?
It looks like I'll coordinate this with a little week-long home school-style project for Trent on Ancient Egypt. I'm wondering if we can also involve Collin, and maybe even Rowan. What do you think, skyfyre? Catpaw? Is Rowan old enough, perhaps?
Thinking, thinking...

Date: 2006-11-30 12:42 pm (UTC)There's a great hotel package for the special exhibition, Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs, on view at the Franklin Institute (February 3, 2007 - September 30, 2007), which gives you the opportunity to see the exhibition and stay overnight in style.
Take advantage of the King Tut Hotel Package and you'll get exclusive, VIP Tickets to the exhibition so you can visit Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs any time you like. Booking the Hotel Package is the only way to get these VIP, un-timed tickets to the exhibition.
The King Tut Hotel Package includes:
* Two (2) VIP tickets to Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs, the acclaimed exhibition coming to the Franklin Institute Science Museum. VIP tickets are only available through the King Tut Hotel Package. VIP tickets gain you entrance to the exhibition at anytime during exhibition hours — others must purchase timed tickets.
* Overnight accommodations
* Other amenities, which vary from hotel to hotel
I don't know if you can book a hotel room and pay for extra VIP tickets. "Oh gee, we're bringing our kids and need tickets for them..." It's worth looking investigating. If a handful of us could book rooms and supply VIP tickets to the folks who are not staying over - that would be great.
Email on the way to you.

Date: 2006-11-30 01:52 pm (UTC)B isn't interested in this exhibit so I would end up with a single room and an extra ticket.

Date: 2006-11-30 01:31 pm (UTC)BTW, American Express is doing VIP tickets that sound really cool. They're good for any day, any time, include the audio tour and the DVD. They have to be bought by Dec 15. They are $150 for two people, which is steep, but they still sound enticing.
