Christine and I had an argument. I was telling her about how I want to seek out people who are wiser than I am, more together than I am, and more functional, so I can watch, learn and grow with a little less effort. She was very skeptical. "Where are these people?" she asked. "I don't think they exist." Then Michael pitched in and we had quite a verbal battle about it.
I am *sure* they exist. When I was stuck with my ex and didn't have any idea how a proper relationship worked, I STILL knew something better existed! And now I am sure that if I dig around, I will find some new-to-me wiser people and learn from them, too.
Michael's position was, "Well, there are people like Pema." And that's true. But I think there are people in the world more functional than me but maybe still not as grown up as Pema and I am going to find them and learn from them.
So stayed tuned. I am going to look around and see who I can bring back to this group of friends.
