If it's any consolation (you know how misery loves company) FD told me this morning that our water heater is preparing to die and flood our basement. We need a new one. That's another big Home Depot bill for our "move in condition" home.

Thank you for asking! I am considering saying "no" to two requests for letters of recommendation. I have never said no to such a request before. It would be great for me to do so. I am worried about what it would do to the two students, however.
I am also looking for other places where I need to set boundaries. I will work especially hard on this today.
