Apr. 15th, 2012 05:59 amKelly's visit has been a soothing oasis of peace and productivity, part of a larger, recent pattern of good times spent with loving friends.
The synergy between Kelly and I is calm, reflective, funny and goal-oriented. "If we lived close by, we'd share an office," she said last night, after a day of Master Mind calls, visioning, and task list creation. With her support, I generated a plan for the next two weeks, covering my white board with blue and pink notes. This period will be among the most important and tightly packed period of my life in, perhaps, years...
"Watching you work on your white board makes me wish I had mine next to it," she sighed, as we looked at all of yesterday's completed tasks. That would be cool, and I think we'd each be more productive. I don't know how we manage to shoehorn so many projects and activities into small blocks of time. It's as though time expands to encompass all of our dreams when we are working quietly together.
I like, too, the way we can work individually until we reach a stopping point and then join forces for awhile. That's pretty sweet. It makes work feel like soothing play, and play feel guilt-free, because we've each accomplished so much when we switch.
I'm lucky to have Kelly and people like her in my life. I'm much better with them than I am without them. Good community leads to peace, play, productivity and sanity, and there's no better environment for growth and happiness than that.
