Recurring dreams
Dec. 20th, 2011 08:01 amVery, very weird...one of my recurring nightmares is that my mom forces me to go back to high school and take math classes. It sounds strange, but feels really awful. Awhile back they stopped after I just walked off the school grounds in the dream, but I had another one last night. This time, I outright refused to go. I just refused. My mom wept, my dad got angry, and I said no---I was an adult who made my own decisions, and getting a frickin' Ph.D. was hard enough. No more high school.
The good news is that I won the fight. The bad news is that I still don't really understand why I have this dream and what, exactly, triggers it.

Date: 2011-12-20 07:18 pm (UTC)I have stressful dreams about being judged by my mother and arguing with my father. I've noticed they pop up during periods when I haven't had any family stress, but have been getting better at keeping calm and centred.
A wise woman once told me it takes time for what you know in your head to reach your belly.
