So it's not even 5 am and I am lying in bed worrying. This is just stupid. I can lie here and worry, or I can get up and go to the gym, which is my form of Prozac. This is not a difficult decision, but I'm not wanting to get out of my warm bed. That's it---getting up!

OK honey, now you're scaring me. Right now, you need MY support, not vice-versa! Thank you---I know I have your support, and I know how fortunate I am to have it. However...I want you to work on accepting support for the next four weeks, not just giving it---at which you already excell.

Consider this an additional assignment this month. At our class tonight, I'd like you to to tell me what happened today when you watched yourself giving support and trying to accept it.

Kay?

Hugging you.

I am accepting support and I can give it to others. Thank you though.

Remind me what work out you do? Oh, and good on you for getting up.

It really helped. Trancing out to music while running will cure most any blues.

I am told I need to learn to do that.

I'm body-first, so I can fall into altered states really easily. You strike me as a little bit more of mind-first person. I wonder if that would make it more of a challenge?

If I understand you, that is likely true. I am getting better at it with the other work I do but I likely need to keep practicing meditation.

I am so much less anxious and stressed when exercise that it's literally a medication for me. Afterwards, I am entirely different person: calm, centered, happy, alive.

I also use the cardio as a way to program myself to move in the direction I want to go in my life. If you add the right soundtrack to the experience, it's actually trance-inducing, at least for me, and I can slip in whatever directions I want myself to take as I alter my consciousness.

I don't know if this would work for you, but I know you and I share a little bit of the anxiety thing.

I wonder if this might help. I have the advantage of being easily programmable and susceptible to all kinds of imprinting, so it's pretty easy for my to program myself.

I don't know how susceptible you are, though.

I can do it more when there's a rhythm to the exercise. I really need to get into the habit of taking an Aleve at bed time so that it's working when I get to the gym in the morning - then I could actually get on the treadmill. The cycle just isn't doing it for me.

This all means, though, that gym time only happens when I have planned for it. Rhythmic sound that goes with the rhythmic repetitive movement does help get me into a trance mode.
