Local friends looking for haircuts or color, listen up!

This Sunday at 11:30, Dusty the Hair Fairy is showing up at my place to do hair cuts and color. I met Dusty at the Dirt Road when I noticed a tremendously cute pixie-ish woman with glorious Isis wings tattooed across her upper chest. They were held together by a pair of long scissors. "Now what is that?" I wondered.

It wasn't long until I found out. Later, I watched Dusty take out her exquisite, perfectly balanced scissors and go into a trance as she circled around person after person, cutting, observing, feeling and bringing out the vision of beauty she held in her mind's eye as she worked. "Hmmmmm," I thought. "She looks like a Priestess in the grips of her ministry. If I didn't know better, I'd think I was watching someone whose work in the world was to coax inner beauty into the physical through the medium of haircuts".

I said this to myself because it had never occurred to me before that cutting hair could be a ministry, or that there could be a Priestess of hair care. I just hadn't thought about it.

By the end of the day, I realized that this was exactly what Dusty was.

She's coming here, this Sunday, at about 11:30. She'll be here all day, working her magic. This trip, she is especially interested in doing "total transformation cuts and/or color".

Dusty is careful to price her work very reasonably (dry cut $35; shampoo and blowout $45; no extra charge for long hair). If you want to check her out, she's "The Hair Fairy" on Facebook. Lemme look at money and gas stuff. I have been needing a serious hack-it-off-and-start-over transformation. I was, in fact, just muttering over my tea about getting a pair if scissors and doing it myself. Dusty seems like an immeasurably better idea. (Perhaps my tea cup is a portal to some wish-granting entity? Hail Caffeina?)

1) A bit of a silly question: how is one able to do this at a regular home? I thought there would need to be certain tools and stations and whatnot of the 'too big to lug around' nature.
2) When is the latest you need a reply by? Due to scheduling weirdness, I have a few days off starting Saturday and am thinking of going home. And I HAVE been thinking about lopping off all my hair...

1. I am no expert, but Dusty shows up with a couple of suitcases full of implements and professional color. She handles the washing process well with access to a sink and tub. She mixes, applies and does all work in our spacious kitchen.

2. As far as I am concerned, you can tell me on Saturday. You would be welcome to stay with us if you like. If this works for you, please join us.
