Earthshaking news
Aug. 23rd, 2011 02:02 pmThat was fascinating. Twenty minutes before the little earthquake we just experienced I walked into Ben's office and said, "So, Ben, tell me how the earth has shifted since I left." And Ben answered, "Ah, nothing much, really..." and then let me know that many, many things have transpired in my absence.
Also, my funding is running out within the next year, opening up the opportunity for really big changes there. Clever man that he is, Ben has ideas about how to manage that. I'm not sure it will work out as he expects, though. Interestingly, I don't feel panic or anxiety at all. Instead, I feel excitement and a sense that my career might be evolving in an interesting direction soon. And just at the moment I began to articulate that to him, the whole building shook.
Cool.
