Big sigh of relief
Aug. 19th, 2011 08:09 pmI am sitting outside of one of the few French restaurants in Albuquerque taking a few minutes to myself. It's the wedding rehearsal dinner, and I am wondering why I am here when there are so many lovely meals of green and red chile to enjoy. But you never know; it might be good.
This morning's petroglyph search was very productive, both in producing a fun adventure and in solidifying peace between Michael and Jennifer. I have spent the day lavishing both of them with love and encouraging playful and friendly interactions in general. It has worked well, and I am happy.
Best quote of the day: when the groom asked if the waiter could produce a vegetarian dinner option (probably for me), Jennifer leaned over and whispered, "Hey, I'm a vagitarian...does that count?". This is funny, since Jennifer is gay. : )
We tried to laugh quietly, and pretty much succeeded. I am full of relief. Peace and loving co-existence is so much better than frigid detente.
Thank gods this turned itself around!
