1. Wrote the English cover letter. Took ages---it's amazingly difficult to write a "here is my book, you should definately consider it" letter without sounding like either a dork or a narcissist. Aimed for dork rather than narcissist.
2. Mailed one of the packages with the cover letter. Another is at home, the third requires a Spanish cover letter (to a professor, no less!!!) which I cannot do. My written Spanish is, like, at the fourth grade level...I will email the English version to someone who can help translate it for me.
3. Mailed a book to a friend who has offered to review it. Will send out a second book to another friend-reviewer tomorrow; will take a third book to a friend-reviewer at a retreat in about a week.
4. Contacted NJWAN (New Jersey Women and AIDS Network) and arranged to:
A. Do an in-house talk during the last week of August B. Run a workshop at the NJWAN Women and AIDS Conference in November. Will submit the write-ups for both tomorrow.
Will text when I send off the packages tomorrow and again when I email the write-ups. Thank you for being my accountability buddy.
Task listed noted. Nagging mode will only be activated upon request.
By the way, in my original remark, I meant to say: That copy will become quite valuable, considering that it was signed by its prize-winning author. Naturally all the copies will become more valuable once you have a prize or two, but it's the signed copies that will go up for auction at Sotherby's.
If you ever need to sound like both a dork and a narcissist, just ask any physicist. We know how to do i.t
"Sabrina Chase? Oh, I know her very well, you know. I recall her first prize-winning book - she was so anxious for me to help her promote it, and gave me a signed copy before the books were on the market. One doesn't like to brag, of course..."
Do you have copies in-hand? Would love to get one (and have it signed), could get it from you at the Keepers' Retreat? I'll gladly review on Amazon.com and Goodreads!

I also appreciate your faith in me as a writer and as a person.
