...so I switched out my summer and winter clothes last night. It's always a big marker of seasonal change---heaps of color and texture everywhere. As I pull out clothes I haven't seen in months, it's like swimming in almost-forgotten fragments of identity.

My favorite T-shirt, completely forgotten over the winter: TETU, REBELLE & AUTHENTIQUE

in tiny, all-cap letters scrolled across a plain black T-shirt. You can't even tell what it says until you get close. Quiet, but clear.

Seems appropriate.

Some, no, MOST, of my local peeps would INSIST I wear something like this as a warning to those who are just meeting me. Apparently, my looks are deceiving. >:)
I tell them that even cute little kittens have teeth and claws. lol
