Blue Star students/peeps: I know that I am not always easy to pin down for face time. Please understand that I want to work with you and make sure that you get what you need from me. To help us accomplish these goals together, please follow these general guidelines in communicating with me:
1. If you want time with me, please send me a clear request, noting what you want and when you would ideally like to have it. If you need class or class follow-up time, please note this clearly. List specific classes or topics that you'd like to address.
I will pay closer attention to clear, direct requests than to general, vague comments. The more clearly you lay out what you want, the more likely you are to get it.
2. Advance warning, if you have it, is always good.
3. Be nice. Spending time with me is a pleasure and a privilege. You don't get to strong-arm me into spending time with you. The more rudely you push me, the less time you will get. The kinder and more gracious you are in speaking to me, the more time you will get.
4. It helps your case tremendously if you can offer me something good, too, instead of just demanding what you want from me.
If you have questions about these guidelines, please text or email me.
Thanks.
