I dreamt that I was on a train to France, but somehow, I didn't have any kind of plan in place. I had U.S. dollars, but no Euros, no hotel reservations, no itinerary and no clue. I looked around, thinking that Stéphanie might be going with me. She was there, but on her way somewhere else---she told me she had an upcoming connection on a different train. I asked what she thought I should do, and she shrugged her shoulders and said there were a million hotels and hostels near the station, and I'd be alright. "What should I see first?" I thought. My alarm went off while I was wondering about my options.

I have to laugh about this: my subconscious thinks I'm heading somewhere new with little in the way of equipment. I barely understand the language and neither Michael nor any of my other close friends is coming with me ("I was on the train to Amsterdam," he laughed).

This is going to be interesting. I hope it's fun.

Your post reminded me of my favorite "I had a dream last night" song:

The song is fun, but its message is exactly the opposite your dreams and goals (and mine, for that matter). Oh well; one doesn't have to agree with the words in order to enjoy the music!

But your subconscious also thinks you will be alright and wants to explore once you get there. I'd say that's a good sign.

You will have fun. :)

Your post made me think of this:

"Trust dreams. Trust your heart. And trust your story."

Evcelt, that was so wonderful that I don't even know what to say. Thank you.

You're very welcome!

It's one of my favorite writings of his. Him reading it makes it even better. Having it illustrated by Charles Vess makes it near-holy.

The animated "trailer" is just icing on the cake... but a wonderful way to present it.

Have you seen/heard his "Blueberry Girl"?

As if you could go to France and I wouldn't be there to be your guide, showing you all the lovely, interesting places and my favorite hangouts and childhood home. I have a whole itinerary for France for people when I take them/meet them there, starting with the Roman/Gallic ruins in front of the Notre Dame (which no one seems to know about because the entrance is an unmarked hole in the ground) and then on to Notre Dame so they can see its' glory and I can light a candle at Joan's statue in gratitude for seeing me safely home again - then a late lunch at this wonderful little Normandie crepery just across the Seine . . . they always begin this way. My darling, I would never leave you in a train station on your way there with just a shrug! Mon Dieu!! Someday, I will show you all this, and more!!!!!

uh oh

So I dreamed I was on an ocean liner and Aphrodite and some other God dude were lounging on the deck and I was waiting on them and asked how much longer they would need my services and they laughed.

I love the sound of your adventure!!!
