A luxurious assortment of chall...opportunities

We are harvesting a plentiful crop of challenges. They have been well-watered over the last year and have received more than enough sun.

Right now they are growing luxuriously long, elegant leaves and blossoming in all their radiant glory.

I alternate between staring at them in amazement ("How did they all sneak up on us? Damn, I can see this one leaping up a couple of inches right in front of me...and check out those thorns!")...and pushing my projects forward in the midst of it all.

A few useful observations:

Both my beloved and I have gotten off our respective asses and started to move out of a couple of stubborn briar patches.

Discomfort is making complacency impossible. It's also breeding renewed progress.

It's good to be scared occasionally. Being reminded of what you don't want is a highly motivating experience.

Proofreading your own book builds lots of character. (Sigh) I get to do it twice.

This afternoon I take my point location final, along with 25 other folks. Before the exam starts I will read a message you left me about being in the trenches. It helps remind me that I am strong.
