I've just realized that between my LJ and the whole box of crammed blank book journals in the back of my closet, I have 15-20 years of journals filled with the experience of my life.

I can't bring myself to throw them away, but I have no idea what to do with them.

Oh well, off to the gym...I've missed it...it's been four long days without it!

Mining it as a spiritual journey, and writing a book(s) based on it comes to mind. Share the wonderful person that you are, including the not-so-wonderful parts.

And, what with the fads of reality TV and other public confessionals, I'm sure you have some sort of residual value if you want to fictionalize it.

Sabrina,

These are as invaluable as you. A collection of your journey could be a work that inspires those who have walked with you as well as those to come.

A blend of your life experiences and the Woman's studies has such great potential. It may be a work that will come in time.

Brooke Medicine Eagle's work "Buffalo Woman Comes Singing" is a work that I think echoes what you have to offer as a spiritual elder to those in our community and beyond.

I know how to present this will come to you.

I kept a journal for most of my life. (slipped lately)

When my daughter and I found each other after all those years I knew I could never survive knowing her and then losing her again. If we were not going to be together forever I did not want to risk connecting again. So I gave her the books. She sat down and read my whole life. Both the good and the bad as well as my deepest secrets. In those books I bared my self to her.

I know where I stand. In one evening she knew me better than anyone else she knew their whole life.
