but i always think of you as being all done with your lessons and finally getting to just be happy and enjoying life but of course if we stop growing we die and I know this...hope to hear more about your journeys as they always give me food for thought
Thank you for the vote of confidence...I do still have plenty of work. Right now it's about thinking through my commitments clearly, setting reasonable expectations and boundaries, not overpromising, communicating appropriately and learning to nurture both the ways I connect and the ways I set boundaries in balanced, sustainable ways. it's a tall order!
thought through my commitments clearly communicated them well set reasonable boundaries created the opportunity to make good connections communicated what was happening inside myself and outside myself clearly and proactively created rational expectations
so now, I need to consciously practice doing the above tasks until I can learn to do them more naturally.
So, just a couple of small adjustments...(yeah, right...)
These phrases sound like the standard poly mantra. Darned smart, those poly folks. It's worth listening to them.
(I often spend some time listening to the BSDM folks, even though I'm only vanilla, I'm sugar-free vanilla. They also have a handle on communication issues.)
One minor tip from the possibly-informed: Don't be concerned with doing those things naturally. If they're always a challenge, then you're always mindful of them. That's why athames are sharp: so you're always aware of what you're doing as you work with them.
And I'd be interested in hearing your insights about these issues. Can you send me your best phone # and good times to call? Do you still have easy access to my email address?
