sabrinamariI just discovered that both keys members of my committee---each of whom asserted that I could finish my revisions *after* the October 29 defense---is now having second thoughts about my defense date.
Both are now saying that since my filing date is not until January 6, it makes no sense to hold a defense until after all the revisions are complete---say, in November.
I cannot allow this.
I am about to call each of them and tell them that the ALL of changes will be completed by the defense date. My advisor now wants them a week before the defense date, actually---by October 22.
Everything else drops. the only things I will commit to doing before Oct. 22 is going to Kim's wedding and teaching one workshop at the FG. That's it. I will take my computer to the FG. I will teach the energy workshop because it requires no prep time. I have no time now to prepare an aromatherapy workshop now.
I won't be able to make a flan for the FG, and I will not be able to relax there as much as I hoped.
But I will finish those damn revisions and I will defend this dissertation on October 29th.
Ken has cancelled his business trip for that week. He'll be there. As for my local friends who have the morning free---I'll see you at my defense: 10 a.m., October 29th.
