From an earlier post on creating a shrine through which to connect to Element Money (re-posted with permission):

"It was suggested to me recently that Money itself may be a deva (a
spirit of sorts). The fact that generally I dislike money might be
holding me back from "success" and causing, or at least contributing, to
my constant flow of difficulties.

Therefore, this lunar cycle I've decided to start liking Money.

Don't get me wrong, I still dislike the fact that society as a whole is
wrapped up in the acquisition and spending of money. And I have no
intention of becoming one of those people constantly seeking more
more MORE! Money. But Money, the deva, well, I can certainly get
acquainted with Him/Her (let's say Her for fun).

I think I'm going to work on a shrine to Money once I get home this
weekend. To start with I'll move my piggy-bank (it's a little plastic
working safe) to a shrine area. Green candles will be acquired too.
Other items will be added as they ask to be."

Creating a Money shrine is such a good idea! I am amazed that I have not done this.

Come to think of it, the woman who taught me about creating a loving friendship with Money *did* have a small shrine---she just didn't call it that. I remember now that she showed it to me: a small bowl of all kinds of foreign coins that sat on her desk. She told me that when she thinks about her finances, she grabs it and plays with the coins, pouring them back and forth through her fingers.

In this way, she invokes Money and interacts with her shrine. It's interesting that she chose to use foreign coins---OK, they're pretty and they're cool, but think about this: using money from another culture helps you think about Money as an entity---Money, the concept, the force behind our familiar dollar bills. If she had chosen U.S. coins, it would have been harder to see them as anything other than hard cash---but as foreign coins, they have a sort of abstractness about them them lets us "see" the deva.

This is really interesting. Thanks for the concept. I am now planning my own money shrine.

Also, I'd like to think that she feels that the foreign markets and dollar is far more stable right now than the US Dollar is. Look at where the exchange rates have gone in the past 5-10 years.

Ugh, and forgive my horrible grammar in that first sentence! My lack of editing and my haste that I do things in is forever somthing I must be more aware of!

Please don't worry. Whenever I write a post, I post it and then go back and revise it 3-4 times.

I struggle most with spelling errors and adding in too many clauses.

But you know, I think the best prose is almost always revised prose, anyway!
