A few weeks ago, I was reading a local columnist (a conservative columnist) who had read a book by another conservative author. This book was all based on the premise and research that the author had done proving that 'bleeding heart liberals' are all talk. Conservatives give a huge amount more to charities and churches therefore supporting those in need. Liberals do not. They do not place their money where their mouth is.
This upset me. I do not like hypocrisy and here this man was pointing out my own hypocrisy. I decided to do something about it.
I am SO glad to see and hear when others do the same and then encourage others to do so as well. Good for you! and Thank You!
It was wylddelirium. She found it and brought it to everyone else.
The cool thing about LJ, other than keeping up with people you like, is that "they" go and find new things, useful things, important things, that you never would have found, and point them out for you. So you don't necessarily have to. You can lean on them a little.
Charitable Giving and Liberals
