Trent and Michael went to their first cub scout meeting last night, and Michael, who was the only parent with Scouting experience, is now the den leader.!

Cool...

Wow! I'm not really suprised though.
Ben and Daddy have been having a whole lot of fun in cubscouts. It's so funny to watch Daddy get Ben up at ungodly hours in the morning to go do boyscout things, and be so chipper.

He's doing Cub Scouts, the pre-Boy Scouts group. There aren't any Spiral Scouts in our area that we know of. Fortunately, michael has extensive scouting experience, so he feels comfortable working in that world, even though it's not friendly to some important aspects of his life and person.

I'm imagining the Boy Scouts of America working out that the really, really cool, funny, kind, intelligent, motivated, responsible, dedicated den leader is a queer Pagan goth. And it's rather funny. I hope they're a good enough bunch not to get their knickers in a twist, and that they all have a rip-roaring time :)

I think he will. I don't know how we are going to manage religious identity issues with our new neighbors, even, or in our town. We'll see.
