Giving thanks
Jun. 5th, 2006 07:24 amFor my lifelong friends, whom I love and who love me, and who have nurtured me wisely and tenderly through thick and thin
For every moment I have with them
For my beautiful, wonderful man, Michael, whose kindness, partnership and passion overflow
For Trent, lovely boy who gives me the opportunity to give love and nurture in a new form
For my dearly beloved brother, and my mother and father, who have sustained me through hard times and good
For my lovely apartment and wonderful roommate, my partner in growth for almost two years now
For the opportunity to celebrate her birthday this weekend and know pleasure and joyful companionship with new friends
For time at home to clean, prepare, arrange and make right my place, my work and my health:
Time to do laundry, grocery shop, renew my prescriptions, work out, mail birthday gifts, clean my bathroom
For a clean house, a clean refrigerator and the organization to make life this week possible, whatever it may bring
For sleep and its rejuvinative powers
For satisfying work that does good in the world
For kind and helpful colleagues that help me make my way wisely and well
For the opportunity to write a book and make a difference
For the opportunity to love and lose, because the experience makes me richer
For laughter that eases fear and loss
For gatherings of friends
For potential, and the knowledge that I have power both in my action and in my submission to that which I cannot change.
Blessed be.

The sun is up, the sky is blue
It's beautiful and so are you
Dear Prudence won't you come out and play
(I'm just sayin')
