We had a lovely impromptu dinner with Stephanie and Michael's ex and good friend Sonya. This was my first time meeting Sonya. We geeked about libraries (she loves them---do you know that some of them have cats??) talked about our childhood experiences (we both had that bad pet fish experience from "Amelie") and commiserated about the challenges of being raised as a girl in a very conservative, first-generation immigrant household (she's Gujarati, I'm Costa Rican). She's vegetarian and I have strong vegetarian leanings, so we had a lot talk about. I really liked her. I hope we get to talk more.

Michael just discovered the reason that most adults tell children not to jump on the bed. Breaking beds are really loud. The somersault was pretty impressive, though. I liked it.
