hierarchy

I admit i only skimmed the article.
I admit some deep and possibly irrational prejudices against authority, but....

It seems to me that, despite the protestation, this article looks at hierarchy more from the point of view of the top than from the point of view of the bottom. In 13,000 years (since "leadership" somehow became equated with "leaders") we have come nowhere near dealing with the abuses that come almost automatically with the use of power or with the power that comes almost automatically with being in positions of authority.

If you look at the models of leadership described in Taoism or manifest by the Buddha or Jesus (and even they got some things wrong, mostly having to do with women), it is almost impossible to find these models in contemporary or historical leadership attempts.
