I totally agree. My sister is sending me British TV crack in the form of DVDs. I need to send back the last season of Dr. Who so she'll send me the Christmas special.

Just watched the SkyTV version of Terry Pratchett's The Colour of Magic. Jeremy Irons playing Lord Vetinari...

...some actors are simply perfect for a given part. Rather like Christopher Lee doing the voice of Death.

Sky One has produced three films based on Terry Pratchett stories. In order of release, they are:

Hogfather

The Colour of Magic

Going Postal


All are currently available on US-format DVD's.

The next film The Unseen Academicals, is expected to show on British TV later this year, and wull likely be released on DVD in 2013.
