It is similar to why I don't like the word relationship. You form a relationship with EVERYONE you meet, no matter how loving or frustrating or crazy, and there is always something to be learned from them (even if it is only when to run the fuck away)

One of the coolest school meetings I've been to was when the principal of the (private) school said, "When a teacher comes to me and complains about a student, I ask them to remember that God has put that student in their life to teach them something and to identify the lesson they need to learn."
