I set up my webcam/microphone

Well, I seem to have set up my webcam by myself. I also have an AOL Instant Messenger account now (my screen name is Selket369). Apparently, I can now videochat with those who are webcam enabled and audiochat with those who have a microphone (there's a built-in microphone in my webcam). So I guess I'll have to explore the use of this webcam a bit more to figure out exactly how it works.

If any of you would like to participate in this experiment, let me know. I'm hoping to use this technology to expand my ability to reach out into the world, and I'd like to talk to my friends and my Blue Star family first.

I have webcam & stuff, although I've only ever used it with MSN Messenger. I do have an AIM account ... maybe I can see if Trillian really works with AIM video... hm.

This is SO cool! I'm sligoe52 on AOL, and I'm on almost all the time, unless I am in the office. It would be WONDERFUL to talk to everyone this way---I think we can even conference folks together!

Also, yahoo and MSN have free Messengers as well---they're also quite good to use for conferencing and audio/visual chats. I have a mic and a cam, although the cam is an iffy propostion at best---sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't! I think that I'm the one that broke it, though---I have a way of breaking cameras...... LOL!
