At Meeting for Worship on Sunday, 3 Friends gave ministry. Each of them spoke of "not doing anything out of the fear of doing too little", as one put it. They each spoke about how every act makes a difference, even when we don't realise it, and how the small acts are foundational. Apparently, it was a Quaker custom to appoint someone at each Meeting for Worship to hold the horses. He didn't get to participate in Meeting in the ordinary way of things - but can you imagine how things would have gone if there was no-one to watch the horses?
