one important thing
Oct. 7th, 2011 08:47 pmQuick moment of insight: probably the most important thing I did at Fires of Venus was something I didn't expect to do. I told the truth about what I was feeling and who I was becoming over and over again, in several different contexts. It felt odd to speak about things I had been holding back, and it left me feeling somewhat vulnerable. But on reflection, I think it was a good thing.
It is better to live in truth, with everyone knowing who you really are and what you really think, than it is to live under the illusion that holding back will protect you.
As someone said at FoV, nothing protects you but an open and fearless heart.

Date: 2011-10-09 07:47 am (UTC)It's all about living in Integrity (or Sovereignty, for those who are comfy with the concept of monarchy and aristocracy [insert rant here]), isn't it? Very hard make the shift from the culturally-sanctioned way of being (cut off from your Self) when there's so little support. So every time someone does it, I say HURRAY! You just showed us all that it IS possible! You just showed us Enlightenment - the sun peeping through the clouds!
