Tonight was one of those fortunate times when staying present and being open was enough. We've turned the situation around sufficiently that by the end of the evening, I felt close and connected to both people. Tomorrow we're all going to Petroglyph National Park, and there will be more opportunities to strengthen the bonds amongst us.

I'm not ignoring the underlying tensions, or the fact that real communication about our problems has yet to happen. I know that it may be some time before this thing is resolved. But for now, I think we're on the right track.

Tired, but grateful. Sleep is calling.
