I am going to move to Dreamwidth this weekend if all goes well, but I'll continue to cross-post here. I don't want to lose my community of friends and web-spinners. Still, must post or the world will get wonky. Posting=happy sanity.

Am starting a Tough Mudder/serious exercise filter here, though, and once I learn Dreamwidth, I guess I'll replicate it there, too. Let me know if you want to be on it.

Michael has installed Lion on all our Macs and really loves it. I like it so far, too. Intuitive scrolling is cool.

And one more thing. Lately, I've really felt listened to, and I'm grateful for this. I'm noticing that the people I'm close to are listening to what I have to say, and that's a really great feeling. This wasn't always the case in my life, and I'm glad for the change. Thank you.

I'll be staying here. I've established LJ as a place to contact me about my biography research, so I feel I shouldn't think about leaving LJ until that work is finished.

Also, I'm stubborn. If that article that pagandelight linked to is correct, abandoning LJ is ceding victory to those who are trying to suppress free speech. They can burn the land and spoil the sea, but they can't take the sky from me!

I'm in on whatever filter you'd care to create. Besides, I need to really start moving, and I need to feel motivated enough to do it regularly, by myself, and you do indeed help.

And honestly---people have been listening to you for a long, long time. I think the change is more inside you---you have come to a place in your life where you can acknowledge that you are worthy of others listening to you, of others loving you, of others caring for you. That is a hard-fought and harder-won battle.

Honey, people have been waiting in LINE to get to listen to you! You are made of awesomeness---and you just couldn't see that for the little things that you thought weren't so awesome. :) Remember that the goal isn't perfection, it's joy. You were there a long time ago! :)
