Teaching Craft to Peggy

Just a quick post to get down my thoughts. Today was going to be a rest day, with little in the way of actual Craft. And for most of it, that's been true.
But Peggy and I just spent the last three hours weaving together a variety of threads: what are the Elements, and why do I/we need to connect with them? What is the purpose of ritual, and what are the primary jobs of the Priest/Priestess? What, energetically, are each of the four officiants doing as the circle is raised, cast and created? What, exactly, is Neophyte, and what would entering it mean for me and my family?
If I had tried to work out how I was going to address each of these questions separately in advance, it would have been a challenge. But because we sat down together and began to weave them all in and out amongst each other, allowing the most important truths to emerge organically, it all worked---beautifully.
In three hours, we went through the core liturgy step by step and answered each of the above questions with passion and power. It felt good---really, really good. I was worried that it would feel too much like work to do this with Peggy, who has so often offered me respite from my Craft and academic responsibilities alike. But in truth, it didn't. It felt natural. It felt fine.
And I still feel like I have my friend, my respite and my support, who will let me curl up on her couch and watch Dr. Who without thinking too much about what I have to do, what I should be doing and what I haven't yet done.
It is good.
