Gentle movement

Lots of phone calls tonight. There is much planning for FSG, upcoming RoPs and work-related tasks.

Most of my bunnies have figured out that the best way to move me forward is to offer gentle, periodic pokes. This is good---it means fewer things get pushed under the rug. You are wise, my dears.

Bit by bit, things are moving forward.

Hope you'll find a few minutes to sit by the pool while I'm lifeguarding @ FSG. I know you're too busy for me to reserve time. Yet, I still wish to sit and talk with you about this strange sea foam born Goddess who is meddling so vigorously with my life right now.

You know, the water is one of my favorite places to rest, think and relax. It's also a good place to just be, so I love to go to the pool when I can. It's a nice place to escape.

I'm really hoping to keep the busyness down to a manageable level this year.

That's a nice dent in your desk. Maybe you can use it as a planter.

The main reason I think it's worth making this kind of effort is that your book is worth more than its immediate title, as important as that subject is. It touches on a lot of social issues that people can adapt for other cases.

For example, out of your extensive social capital you've gotten a suggestion that takes you out of your habitus. It's no-risk, low-cost, low chance of return, but of great benefit to you should it pan out. It has to be done within the week. What would one of your resourceful ladies do?

I gritted my teeth, wrote a crappy, colorless bio and put on Peter Murphy. Together, we mailed that puppy out.

I was so stressed about it that I forgot my dad's birthday present and had to turn right around and head back to the post office to mail it immediately upon my return. But damn, it's DONE!

You know---I had completely forgotten that you were coming up this way! Things can wait until I see you. When would you like to get together? I have concerts on Saturday afternoon---which you would be welcome to go along on, if you'd like--and other commitments, but I'm sure we can carve out some time. Ooo---we're going to a Memorial Day party on WSaturday night, and the theme is Latin! You'd be welcome to attend that as well!
