Time for a not-so-serious post to go with the gleeful tickling battle that accompanied dinner this evening.

A few random moments of pleasure and joy:

* Running around the fire circle poking [livejournal.com profile] the_smith_e after he sneak-tickled me with a peacock feather--- that was just fun!

* Being flagged down twice by Sparky in time to discover his stash of healthy food and kale chips. Also, the conversation was relaxing and good. Plus, I now know where to go for a decent snack at FoV.

* Pulling people into the dance and watching their resistance dissolve into laughter and silliness

* Nibbling on Christine when she least expected it and watching her glow with delight

* Enjoying Stephanie's pleasure in her temple ministry

* Watching Jay steadily gain confidence in his ability to anchor, support and heal, and seeing him walk away with a bit of a swagger. Nice.

* Peggy, drumming in a belly dance costume. What would they think of you in Antlers, Oklahoma, honey? I know---they'd think you were wonderful.

* Laughing and crying with Kelly. Making sensible plans with her and *utterly* failing to follow through with them.

* Damn, Patrick, you are a full-grown priest. I will never think of you as my little brother ever, ever again.

* Stepping up to a challenge in the temple of secrets and ending it in laughter, snuggles and a private nickname

I think one of my favorite moments was when I said, "I need you to hook me up with some glitter," and you said, "Excuse me. Could you please say that again?"

Shock. It was pure shock.

But wow, I love you in glitter.

Well, what can I say? I guess that FOV always changes me.

Dave and I didn't go---but both of us admitted to checking it out and wondering if it was a place for us. We're probably going to think about it more and see what we come upo with. Somehow, though, I get the feeling that I may be too old in my head, or maybe in my heart, to enjoy FoV. This makes me very sad. I have been feeling very old lately, and very tired. I have lost some joy in my life. This also makes me very sad. I am glad that you found it among those you love. :)

I highly encourage you to go. I trusted my instincts and it really wasn't what I thought it was about at all. It was about what I needed and frankly precisely about what I brought into the event.

I also was pretty tired too at times and it was okay. I slept. No judgments. :)
