Yesterday was World AIDS Day
Dec. 2nd, 2009 02:45 pmI went to a World AIDS Day service in Elizabeth and saw folks I haven't seen in ten years.
It was lovely, and I am so happy to be reunited with my surviving friends and collaborators.
We read the names of local folk who had died. I was surprised at how many I recognized. My beloved Millie was on the list. My friend MM asked if I wanted her to add my dear Lucy to her list, and I said yes. It was so sweet of her to remember!
Karen, they remember you. People I didn't recognize remembered me, too, as the lady who mixed oils with lotion and brought good smelling things.
In fact, now there is a holistic healer who provides aromatherapy on the Ryan White subsidized service list. I met him last night. He seems nice.
It is good.
