Back to the gym (fitness post)
Oct. 1st, 2009 10:50 amExercise is my Prozac, and I've been missing it keenly for about two weeks. Between sickness and FoV, I've been jonesing for the physical pleasure and emotional calm it creates.
Finally, I'm back in the groove, with barbell squats, calf raises and dumbbell lunges and a good strong 45 minutes on an elliptical today. It feels like drinking down a long cool glass of water when you're parched to the bone.
Now I need to get a handle on eating and sleeping, and then design a 4-week ease-in routine to prepare my body for winter.
Ah, and my man signed me up for a 10k in late November...oops, I guess I've got to start training for that.
