I am writing 24-7 now

Been at it today from noon to nine. I give my first chapter to the new editor on Friday at noon.

Michael leaves with Trent for vacation on Tuesday and I have the place to myself for about 3 weeks.

I need them!

I am not going to do anything much for anyone over the next 3 weeks, and I may or may not answer email, posts, the phone, whatever.

I may be weird, or unpleasant, or unaccomodating. Please just love me and know that it has nothing to do with you. The book has to be done by the end of the month.

When I get weird I may post here, or not.

Today there were many critical voices yelling at me as I revised the last fourth of chapter 1. I told them that they were being drama queens and dismissed their power. Even though I do not expect them to go away, I will not stop for their foolishness. If they must stay, they can sit at my table, but they can't boss me around.

Oh,and go out and get a nice bouquet of flowers for your table - something cheery, fragrant and positive that you can pause on for a moment or two before delving back into your writing.

I understand completely. I did much the same thing when I wrote the final draft of my art history master's thesis: wrote about 12 hours a day for 2 weeks; was alone during that time; and took breaks for food, sleep, etc.

How are you feeling about visualisation these days? I know you've developed a great sitting practice, but I don't know how you are with guided meditation. I do have an exercise for dealing with critical voices that is powerful in a hypnotic state, and I can talk with you about it or email you if you'd prefer.
