Your description at the bottom of that gallery page is so beautifully written. The actress Anna Deveare Smith says that, whenever people speak their deepest truths, it comes out in poetry, no matter who they are or how they normally talk.
It was hard to see these images again, but I'm glad you captured them and posted them. I wish I could hope to get my aunt and cousins who smoke to look at them. It breaks my heart to see them smoking at family reunions. Since George's death, and Kay's death, I've found the courage to tell them how much it upsets me to think that they might go through what Kay and George endured. I just wish it helped them to hear it as much as it helped me to say it.
I'm so sorry you and your family are on that train. Next Clover esbat, we should definitely do some magic to address this.
