Uh oh, it's 11:45 and I'm still working on the Princeton application packet at the office...

Events conspired to keep me busy revising two manuscripts today, one with each supervisor, and I didn't finish working on the second one until 9 p.m. No use getting all bent out of shape now; sometimes it just happens that way.

Thank the gods I'm packed, and thank them that the folks who work in the parking lot here at the office thoughtfully left my keys in my car and left it unlocked. If they had locked the car and stored the keys in the kiosk, I'd be screwed---I didn't think to run down to retrieve them until 11:10, ten minutes after they closed up shop and left.

Even if I'm up all night revising my application materials, it's worth it to have a shot at working at Princeton.

Ken is being wonderfully supportive and very loving. I'm grateful for that; I will wake him up later and he has to drive me to the airport at 7 a.m. This won't be fun for him.

See you tomorrow, Minneapolis! I hope I don't forget anything important.

P.S. Gerry---Cai can't come after all. Don't worry about getting me/her directions. Sorry to throw a wrench in at the last minute, but it was worth a try. Thanks so much for being willing to work with us on this possibility!
