Scary tasks completed

Did today's super-scary task already.

I submitted an abstract for an article in response to a call for papers. The journal is doing a special supplement on AIDS education and prevention for Latinos and Puerto Ricans.

My work is a little bit of a stretch, because it focuses on HIV+Puerto Rican women, but it holds implications for HIV/AIDS education and prevention efforts.

Usually, I feel accomplished when I do something that frightens me, but right now I just feel anxious. That's OK; it won't kill me. What is that saying? That one's capacity for happiness is directly related to one's ability to tolerate the anxiety of growth...I guess I'm gonna be even more happy than I am now!

Forced myself to work legs earlier: 75 walking lunges, 90 squats, 45 calf raises, 45 hamstring raises on each side.

The hard work is done.

And now, off to cardio: easy, relaxing, no-brainer running on the elliptical to music. Sigh of relief. After that, picking up folding tables and returning phone calls as my cell phone charges (it died in mid-conversation earlier...my apologies, skyefyr)!
