A Coaching Triumph

sabrinamariA few weeks ago I spent a coaching session with my friend T. (She agreed to guinea pig for me as I explore future business techniques). We took about 80 minutes and went over a wealth of material. Last night we spoke very briefly and I learned that:
* She called her credit card company just as I asked and negotiated for: a) the removal of her late payment fee, and b) a stay on raising her interest rate. She got both!
* The negative item we contested on one of her credit reports was dropped!
* When she couldn't open and print the signature card for her Flagstar money market account, she called and asked that it be sent snail mail. When it did not appear after a week and a half, she called again, explained the problem, and verified her address. She will persist until she gets what she needs. Good job, T!
I think the girl has talent. I think *alot* of people have the ability to develop skill sets in this area, once they gather together their courage and reach out for a little help. T's husband is still struggling with worries and fears around money, but I have faith that he will be able to calm himself and begin to build his skills in this area within the next 6 months.
T. and I have a phone date Wednesday evening to discuss next steps. I am going to tell her that I'd like her to serve as a reference for me, my future business, and my future business partner/s. I hope that she will pass the word on to others who'd like a little Earth Element personal coaching when I am ready to take the plunge.
Now, to wrap up the book and get on to my business aspirations!

Date: 2008-01-18 01:58 am (UTC)I also did one mistake when I signed up with Flagstar. I believed I was signing up for the money market and instead I got a checking account. But they added the the money market after I called them.
