Happy New Year, My Dears!

We have eaten our black-eyed peas and had a good day. I got some writing done---it's such a relief to be writing again. I can't wait to go back to work tomorrow.

I have started checking sites for my annual post on Chinese New Year and your animal sign prognostications for 2008. I'll have links for you in a few days.

It has been so rewarding to hear your responses to my short Element Money posts. Thank you.

Happy New Yeear to you and your tribe as well, and thank you for the wonderful gift! The bread is delicious (at least, the cranberry-orange is!), and I know the others won't last around here for very long! How thoughtful of you to think of us! Thank you again!

Oh---and I didn't tell anyone, but I instigated a neighborhood sponsorship of a family in need this holiday season. A homeless mom and her developmentally challenged four-year-old became our family---we collected and delivered gifts both useful and fun for these two people---we even got somone to donate a toaster oven to the person that they are staying with so that meals would be a little easier! It's my way of "giving back" to the community around me---I'm hoping I can continue with this project during the year, and have the Grove adopt a family, or even one child who needs help, and continue with that child throughout the year. Small steps can make big changes!

I also want to thank you and your household for the lovely gifts you sent us; you were tremendously generous.

Your gifts of fruit and cheese inspired our fondue frenzy, and became the base for *many* wonderful fondue meals. The lovely scented and flavored goodies you sent to me were awesome. I had never explored wax scented potpourri but I loved it and its beautiful dispenser. Thank you, too, for the tea posy and incense. I know I will love the incense, and we are excited to try the tea posies.
