I talked to my brother today for a nice medium longish chat----HURRAY!
I saw a picture of Bast being happy and snuggly at his place today---HURRAY!
I talked to my dad for a long, long time today---HURRAY!
And there is sun.
And there is a garden space roped out.
And there are various good things: organic dirt, many organic fertilizers, peat pots, covered roasting pans to put them all in, and seeds. Really interesting seeds:

thyme, basil, chive and mesclun clay SeedBallz
lemon cucumbers
neon lights swiss chard
Ruby Queen sweet corn
spinach, 2 varieties
Snowflake pea pods
early peas
jade green bush beans
Atomic Red carrots
Purple Dragon carrots
Bambino eggplants
Fragrant heirloom sweet pea mixture
Thumbelina carrots
watermelon radishes
hot pepper mix
marigolds hybrid mix
heliotrope
many varities of morning glory

...and there will be Sungold cherry tomato plants and heirloom tomato plants when I can find them.

I am going to plant twining morning glories all over our fences and mailbox posts. I will take what was beautiful from my past life and bring it into the present joyfully.

I found Trent-sized gardening tools with bug-faced shafts and bright orange hoe, shovel, trowel and cultivator heads. Gardening tool makers please take note: it is very difficult to lose a bright orange gardening tool after you lay it down in the grass. Make more of these, please. I would also enjoy bright fuschia gardening tools, which would have similar properties.

Later, I hope there will be there will be a garden photo LJ gallery with small children wielding tools, sexy bodybuilding gardeners and verdant vines.

I embrace my new blessings with vim and vigor.

HURRAY!

Read my LJ - you'll see I've been missing my gardens big time - and now I envy you yours! Can't wait to see them next month. What a grand variety of veggies you are going to plant - your dinner table is going to be full of yummy, healthy things. As for hot pink gardening tools, check out your local frou-frou garden centers - or online, I swear I have seen these things for sale before.

Miss ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hugs and kisses to you and the fam!

If you're planning to grow tomatoes from seed, I know of several sites that have heirloom tomato seed. Let me know and I'll pass them along to you.

Thanks, my dear. I love heirloom tomatoes but I'm a little scared to start them from seed this year. Maybe next year. Thank you very much, however.

Wow - you're so much more accomplished than I am in this - I'm just aiming at keeping the flowers Mum planted healthy, and planting potatoes, lettuce, and a pumpkin patch. And some sunflowers.

Be seeing you and your lovely man for Beltane next month? I'm looking at running the wax ritual again this year, and he'd mentioned being able to secure a couple of cases of novena candles-- wanted to find out if that would still be possible?

What a wonderful day you had-- I hope your weather there was as lovely as it's been here!

::hugs::

Yes! Just called him---how many do you need? These are the Jewish 7-day candles? You can call me at 732-309-5032 to touch bases on this.

Si, these are the 7-day candles. He mentioned being able to get them by the case-- but I don't know how many are in a case. (We can use any "leftovers" in the Exploratorium at the waxing station...)

A dozen and a half, maybe? Two dozen?

THANK YOU!!!

I was standing at Lowes yesterday stumped and unable to remember the name of the twining flowers I love watching climb my trellisses.

Now to go get some morning glory seeds!

I can't wait to have a garden of my own again---we just don't have the space in our tiny little city backyard. Hopefully, we will have herbs again---the rosemary that we planted last year is flourishing, and I want more fresh basil, some good thyme, chives, and some parsley---we usea lot orf parsley! We are lucky in that there is a farmer's market that sets up every Sunday---we go there often so that we can get the really good, fresh veggies and fruits that we love so much.

Hugs to you and your new gardens, both outside in the earth, and inside your heart!

I am glad you can have herbs---fresh herbs make a huge difference. Farmer's markets are so much fun...

Hugs to you, honey.

One of the things about a prior abode that I loved was having my own herb garden actively perking away inside my kitchen on the windowsill. I'd just snip fresh chives and basil into my skillets and cookpots, and BOY do I miss that. I need to find a way to get my herb-plant-pots set up in our new kitchen and get those started again. (Made the kitchen smell fresh and good, too, to have them growing there.)

Basil was really high-maintenance, tho'. If I didn't water it at least every day, it'd wilt. ::pout:: But I had chives (yay, chives!), rosemary, fussy basil, chamomile (for tea!), and dill.

Woo hoo!!
planting is awesome!!
we've already started on the chives, cilantro, basil, oregano...
Tabitha's growing pumpkin...
and I've got 4 luffa gourd plants that are already 10" tall...
WOOT!
I started the neon chard - but it hasn't come up yet...
and three flats of pansies.

YAY!!
