Bleahhh

I came back from Rose's with her flu-like cold. Bleah. I am very far behind, in general. All I want to do is sit on the futon wrapped in a blanket. That's it. Still, I'm managing the moving to Scotch Plains process OK. At work, I moved my office upstairs yesterday and have continued to visit practices.

I feel fat, bloated, stuffy, tired and nasty. Ick. So far behind on LJ I will never catch up. Probably contagious, very contagious.

My goals today:

Visit practice. Write up 2 interviews. Get comfy in office. Exercise a little bit to feel less grotesque. Call and email friends who have reached out to me in the last week, briefly.

Come home. Sit in tub.

Yuck.

Hmm. I think I'd probably still have coffee with you. I mean, I dunno, maybe you've suddenly become a huge raging cthulionic beast with tentacles and tattoos of republicans on your arms. But I kinda doubt it. :)

Please remember to be gentle with yourself. It's fine to not always feel like you are on your game. I just feel a little wistful at times reading posts like this. You are sooooamazingly beautiful. You shine like a star yo. Everyone can see that. I can see you already doing the little things to get yourself back to being that core rock of awesomeness I'm used to. :) Rock on lady. Do what you need to do. And here I am again saying, rest! REST!

Perhaps when I see you next you will help me refine my Erisian Shamanic Wrestling techniques? Heh.

silly bow!

Sabrina has always been a a huge raging cthulionic beast with tentacles and tattoos of republicans on her arms. That's what makes he so damned sexy.

This particular creeping crud seems to be all over the place this year. You know whzt to do---just be kind to yourself and let your body do the rest. You've had a bit of a rough patch---the UTI certainly didn't help your immune system get to it's normally robust state, so it's no wonder you caught a nasty little bug!

Sending hugs and lots of love.

In the absence of me being there or having someone actually make you some, I recommend drinking this in quantity, warmed with love:

It really is the best on the market. Better than any brand I've found, even the organics.

If you are feeling flu-y, should you really work out? It will dehydrate you, stress your body and make you more tired.

You know this but just remember that you are beautiful whether you work out or not but right now, you need rest. Love yourself, DON'T workout today.

Colds and Working out

Nursey nurse here. Gentle workouts are fine during sicknesses of this sort as long as the cold is upper respiratory and not in the chest. In my own experience, working out during a cold expands the passages and clears one, somewhat. I think it's the "excitement" that does it (ever notice that right after a near-collision you breathe so much better?) Agreed, an extraordinary workout effort or stamina contest is not such a good idea.

Sorry you're sick sweetie. Lots of hugs and tub soaking for you.

So far behind on LJ I will never catch up. Probably contagious, very contagious.

That's the great thing about LJ. Really, there is no "getting behind." There is your journal, which you update whenever you want to and can, and that's that. Friends are read when they can be, but there's no need to turn this creative tool into a burden. It shouldn't be one.

I am trying very hard to believe that my upcoming event is not adding to your problems. I know you would want me to. It is, isn't it?

Oh now I feel really bad!
I didn't mean to get you sick! Luckily, it doesn't last too long.
I hope you feel better soon.
