The additional sheets put in by the workmen did their job; Richard also snaked a long electric line across the street to a sympathetic neighbor who let him plug it in along the side of his house. The sump pumps worked. Our basement stayed dry.

Tomorrow I fly to Florida and will be back late Monday.

Glad your new home faired well through all the rain.

We here in Seattle have been having beautiful, warm, sunny weather and you guys got torrential rain. Talk about the shoe being on the other foot.
You should come vist while the weather is luscious.

Um, you know, you were really, really lucky that the torrential downpours happened when they did. It exposed a flaw in the waterproofing companies workmanship. They clamoured to get it fixed immediately. If this hadn't happened you would be sitting on top of a faulty waterproofing job and not even know it. so, yay floods!
