Good Grief

After the first couple of weeks of this Saturn retrograde, I feel as though I will never complain about a Mercury retrograde ever again.

On the other hand, I'm laughing. At least these crazy developments keep me from taking myself too seriously, and that's always a good thing.

Couldn't think up these new challenges if I tried.

Kindness

My boss/mentor just walked in and gave me a $15 gift card for a nearby Italian restaurant. For no reason---just because he thought he wouldn't use it and he wanted someone else to enjoy it.

It's these small kindnesses---these random acts of generosity, expressions of tenderness at odd moments and encouragement just when I need it---that make feel so good about him. It's his shining, loving heart, really. May I always do him proud, and be there when he needs me.

I'm a Water Rabbit, and I fit the sign perfectly, except for one thing: water rabbits are supposed to be very delicate, tender and conflict avoidant. While that is absolutely true of me, it's not the whole truth. I lucked out in terms of my Western sign, and got the one that's hardest to kill or keep down: Scorpio, the phoenix.

So, while I will absolutely tremble and shake in the face of any significant challenge (Rabbit), I will also absolutely get myself up to meet it over and over again (Phoenix).
