From a fast weekend trip to MA, where two dear friends were married. It was beautiful. I am so happy for them.

[livejournal.com profile] ingridsummers posted a link to this article, which reports the findings of a study on "lucky" and "unlucky" people.

It also includes some excellent advice on how to cultivate "luck":

Hmmm, what other words can we use to talk about "luck"?

Me: self-centered, low testosterone levels, right-brain dominant

I still suck at judging distances, however.

Nope. I don't have a general opinion about whether it's good, bad, or emotionally healthy/dangerous to do so. For me, it feels like a waste of time. What's been created and done is past, and what matters is what I did or didn't learn from the experience.

Every moment I spend monitoring is a moment I don't get to spend enjoying my life and those I love NOW, and I hate to waste immediate opportunities for delight.
