Progress is better than perfection...

Slow, steady progress towards a goal really pays off. And I've noticed that when I plug steadily along, the opportunity for big gains emerges on a regular basis.

We got our tax refund on Friday and paid off all our remaining non-mortgage debt (in our case, it was a combination of two credit card balances).

Now, we are debt-free except for the house. It is good. It is especially good because with all payments gone, it's possible for us to live on my salary alone, and the time may come when we choose to do that for awhile.
