I like to use cardio time as trance time, choosing musical pieces that 'program' my mind and heart to proceed forward in a way that's useful for me.
Sometimes that means choosing songs that make me feel excited and productive, moving swiftly and powerfully through the world. Other times it means choosing music with a strong message of compassion and self-respect.
Cardio time is a wonderful opportunity to engage in self-hypnosis and the positive transformation of consciousness.
I find that the Water Rower inspires me to develop new workshops and classes and move forward in my vocational path especially well. The elliptical and the treadmill inspire me to power ahead on projects I'm already in the middle of. Walking or running outside is great for cultivating my connection with nature and the world around me, and they make me feel especially alive. Running up and down stairs helps grind into me my ability to persist through hard times and challenges.
Cardio is transformative.
