Are you interested in Craft history? Go here. My fascinating high school friend and companion Marc C. recently made an LJ post here. It concerns an intriguing fragment of Craft history housed at his library.

Thank you, Marc.

I went to the DC area to work with Rose, my dear one, whom those of you at Free Spirit have already met.

Michael and Trent and I drove up accompanied by our friend Dave, who came along for the ride.

It was beautiful. Rose's mom Peggy is a longtime friend of mine, and I finally got to spend some time with her and her family. It was also the first time I got to teach Dedicant classes with Michael's support and help. He was able to supply perspectives of great value---both insights gleaned from Lisa, Dedicant teacher par excellance, and those inspired by his own experience. Thank you, Lisa. I am still in awe of your altar class. And thank you, Michael bunny.

I really loved it. I had forgotten how much pleasure I get from collaborative teaching, and from working with people I love and trust. Collaborative efforts feel so much deeper and richer than what I create solely on my own...

It was good. It's time for this, too. I have made multiple trips to the DC area to teach at Starfire and work with the folks there, but I never before stopped to work with Rose. It is good to begin this now.

I do hope that my next trip can bring Rose together with some of the DC Blue Star folk, however. We will see.

Tonight, Cat and I will start working on a series of RoPs. Our little community, which has been quite stymied for awhile, is about to explode with Seconds and Neophytes, and in the slightly longer term, Firsts and Dedicants. I am happy about this. We need it. I am also taking a deep breath. RoPs are tremendously charged and usually require tremendous time and energy. Now, I think I am about to learn how to adapt the intensive Braided Stream/Clover RoP model to a short period of high numbers of rites. I am very curious to see what we will generate.
